Bernie Sinnott has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia during the King's Birthday celebrations this year.

In addition to his long career in the legal industry, Bernie has dedicated his life to volunteering, including for the Camperdown Fire Brigade, Sunnyside House, the Camperdown Hospital and many local sporting clubs.

Bernie worked for Buckland & Nevett solicitors in Camperdown and then SLM Law (now known as Sewells Lawyers) for more than 40 years, retiring in 2021. Bernie's wife Terri Sinnott also worked alongside Bernie and the team in Camperdown and, together, they have helped many local people in the Camperdown region.
